Welcome!

Hi and thanks for coming! Building this blog has been so exciting for me and I'm thrilled you're here so I can share it with you.

First I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Sam. I live in middle Tennessee with my Hub and my two babies. We're a mostly normal family, we do everything we can to fill our home with love and not raise monsters. We've been in TN for almost four years and we love it so far. Except the tornados. I don't fuck with tornados. If we decide to stay in TN for the long haul I will insist that we sell our house and get one with a basement. I've wanted to create this space for a long time but I suffer from crippling self-doubt and I don't like to share a whole lot, I have a tendency to write, erase, re-write and re-write. (this is the third time I've written the welcome post) But lets move forward to what you can expect from A Bitter's Sweet Life!

Here at ABSL I'll cover topics that are a little all-over-the-place and potentially controversial. We'll talk about some of the DIY projects I do in our home, including some of the renovations we're planning on tackling in the future, I'll talk about motherhood and what it means to me and how it's so very different from whatever I ever expected to be before I was actually a mother. I'll talk about raising my kids to be feminists in a misogynistic and patriarchal world. I'll share real life here, this isn't just a highlight reel. You'll see all the shit I failed at too. I'll share some of my favorite products, some things on my wishlist for when I win the lottery and a few of my favorite blogs, small businesses, a few of my favorite people to follow on Instagram and more!

I'm so glad you've made it this far and can't wait for you to see what I've got in store for this space!
