Well I was. That's why I was MIA for a week or so. Sorry bout it.

Heading to Delaware is one of my favorite things but I have a tendency to set my expectations too high and treat it like it's some sort of vacation (Which it never is, because kids) But this trip was exceptional.

The drive was typical. long and boring with lots of bathroom breaks for my boy because we left earlier in the day than we usually do. I tried to get a photo of the moon before we hit the bay bridge because it was giant and beautiful.

but this is what I got because safety first.

Right after this we made our first trip to Wawa because our priorities are straight.

About an hour and half later we made it to pop-pops house!

Only took about 17 hours of travel to make it.

After 17 hours of travel and finally making it to my Dad's I proceeded to stay up for the entire day anyway and finish off the evening with a 6 pack of Angry orchard rosé and I think a game of scrabble.

Friday was beach day and it couldn't have been a better day for the beach. It was hot but the UV index was low and the wind kept the flies away. There was beer and music and games and my kids actually enjoyed themselves. (It took Wren awhile to adjust but eventually grew to love the sand)

As you all know Sunday was Mother's day and I actually got to spend it with my mom, my older brother and his kids as well.

We went to Shell We Bounce, a trampoline park in Lewes and it was way more fun than I thought it would be. At least until my kid shit his pants.

After all that, the kids and I went back to my Dads and my older brother and co. showed up and we all played some Yahtzee and I drank some more Rosé. Which is a bullshit game and I'm convinced Christine and Ashley figured out how to rig the dice.

Tuesday We tried the beach again and it was not even close to pleasant the second time around. AND and and now that I don't have Delaware tags anymore it cost me $10 just to get into the state park. But after that miserable fail I did get to see my dear dear friend Kaiyn and his magical mother who I've loved like family for as long as I can remember and that made the day 100x better.

My horoscope has been telling me all the very accurate things lately. but something that's stood out to me recently has been from Venus quincunx to natal Pluto

"You have a desire for indulgence in your home and family. Change and separation will force you to let go and move on. This situation will force a separation between the desire and the deepest part of your psyche.

The old ways of the world are what led us here. You don't come from nowhere. Honor your past.

This separation will see it's beginnings in the new ideas and experiences you've been craving along with circumstances surrounding your family or home life. You'll first notice these changes in a desire to move across the country"

Delaware holds such a huge part of my heart and I'm already craving to go back again.

Maybe I'll buy a house next time I'm in town.
