It's been a while.

I haven't used my sewing machine in almost two years, it took me two whole days just to find the power cord.

Yesterday I made this. In my DIY section you'll find my handmade hostess apron that isn't a fail. It's not a fail because I made this first, got my fail out of the way. This looks super cute right? Not perfect, but hey that's not what I'm going for.
Then I put it on Wren... it's about three sizes too small. In my defense I didn't use a template or follow a pattern here. This was made out of my own head. I drew up what I wanted and just went for it. She was napping when I decided to do this, which is why I didn't get accurate measurements.

After learning that this was a complete failure I wanted to redeem myself and not waste like $5.49 it cost for a yard of that fabric so I made her a skirt with the leftovers. It turned out alright. Not what I was going for but I'll take it.
ps. I didn't sew the head wrap. That's just some scrap fabric tied around her head.

She loves it. So that's a win.

I love how you put yourself out there and showed that your attempt to make Wren's outfit failed yet you were able to utilize the remaining materials and learn from the experience. The exposure to your day-to-day Momming is so inspirational! Love the site! 😍😎
