Quick DIY distressed jeans.

So I was in American Eagle the other day and distressed jeans are so expensive you guys!
I knew that in the back of my drawer I had an old pair of skinnies that already had an authentic hole in the knee from when I fell down the steps of a friends front porch. They're faded and well...worn.
So I figured I may as well try to give them a little make over.

There they are in all of their well-worn glory.
I started by putting them on marking where I wanted to add the distressing.
Then I just kind of went for it.
For the other knee I decided to cut slightly above the knee and down to like the middle of my knee.

I cut two parallel lines on the knee and roughed up the edges with some sand paper.
Then I took my tweezers and started pulling all of the vertical threads out of that strip of denim left over the knee.

Sorry I couldn't get great pictures of this process with one hand. But this is what it starts to look like so only the horizontal threads are left.
I also did this same process under the pocket of the opposite leg. Leaving me with this.

So far so pleased.
But also feeling a little daring. I decided to go for the back of the legs as well.
feel free to skip that part or add as many areas of distressing your heart desires.
This was fun and didn't take a terrible amount of time and I liked the results so I thought I'd share a cheap (free) way to revamp some old jeans.
